This Spider Software review has been prepared to help you know what the software offers and what it lacks so that you can make better and wiser trading decisions. In this Spider Software review, you will come across the features of the platform in detail, along with exploring the benefits and challenges that one gets exposed to. It also discusses the pricing structure and the learning curve.
This Spider Software review is entirely based on my own experience as a user. Being a swing trader, having an ideal technical analysis tool for real-time updates is mandatory for me, and that’s what made me give this platform a try. I have used each and every product or feature that the company offers to ensure I do not mislead readers and come up with a relevant view on every aspect of it.
What is Spider Software?
Spider Software is a company that develops different software products to make trading easier for its users. The products are designed to ensure that self-directed traders have sufficient data to back their research and their trading decisions, likewise. The real-time and end-of-day (EOD) segments of the software products fulfill the requirements of the respective users.
There are almost 15 lakhs daily traders in India, whose trading needs Spider Software is trying to fulfill. Collaborating with the platform brings you a lot of learning opportunities if you have just started your trading journey.
The charting tools that it offers via its multiple products enable traders analyze the market effectively. The customisation option here gives them an opportunity to personalize the views on the screen for easy readability and interpretability.
Spider Software also shares the live news, events, and updated with its users, which lets them be aware of what is going on in the market. Such information also has a significant impact on the price movement, and hence it influences the decision-making of traders to a great extent.

With 150+ pre-built indicators, the platform allows traders to conduct advanced technical analysis, thereby helping traders to assess the market from all perspectives to make sure the decisions they make maximize their profit figures. It supports algo trading and automatic signals that guide users in the best way possible.
The technical scanning feature that Spider Software offers has been impressive to me, as it helped make scientific predictions on the stock price movement based on macroeconomic trends and market trends, thereby giving me a clue on where the market is supposed to move next.
What makes most users rethink their decision of choosing Spider Software is its pricing, which is way higher than its alternatives, and its customer support, which appears inefficient most of the time.
Verdict
Overall Verdict – 4.3/5
When I started using Spider Software, I came across a wide range of products falling under two broad categories – real-time software and EOD software. Though there were multiple products available in each category, it was not possible to buy and use all of them because of my affordability constraints. So, I selected its most recent and most talked-about Spider IRIS+ from the former category and Spider ACE PRO from the EOD segment.
I found Spider IRIS+ quite effective in tracking cash, futures and options opportunities in the market. The charting features that the product offers match the best of the best charting tools available out there. I agree it’s quite expensive, but worth paying for as it is an all-inclusive platform that provides everything that a trader needs in one place.
Features like event selector, tick query, market query, and auto trendlines make this product a powerful advanced analysis tool, deriving real-time data and updates for the self-directed traders. This product helped simplify my journey as a swing trader to a great extent.

Now let’s talk about our second product, Spider ACE PRO. It was way less expensive than IRIS+, but there was no compromise noticed in terms of the quality of the features it offered. My trading journey as a swing trader got a boost from this product as it offered good backtesting features, along with other common technical analysis features. Generating a bhav report with having customizable candlestick pattern, this product allows traders to use it the way it suits them.

After using these two products, I can say that the other products under the two broad segments – real-time and EOD – will also possibly work in favor of the Indian traders, they are specifically designed for.
Having said that, the pricing is too high, restricting many from purchasing these products and preferring other inexpensive alternatives to them.
Key Features
There are eight key features that the software products from Spider Software have in common.
- Auto trendline: The software automatically draws trendlines on price charts, helping traders quickly identify support and resistance and overall price direction.
- Gann Square of 9: The tool offers advanced charting tools, including Gann Square of 9, aiding users to apply time-price cycles for technical analysis.
- Group analysis: Users can group stocks by volume, price range, volatility, or sector, and analyse the group to spot outperformers or laggards quickly
- Derivatives summary report: The software provides a consolidated derivatives summary report summarizing futures and options market activity for informed decision-making.
- Candlestick scanner: It includes a candlestick pattern scanner that automatically detects popular chart patterns to help traders identify entry/exit opportunities.
- Futures premium report: The software generates a futures premium report, highlighting the premium or discount in futures, which is useful for assessing market sentiment.
- Delivery volume report: Users get a delivery-volume report showing share delivery statistics, helping gauge actual investment activity versus speculative trades.
- Price-based chart types: The software offers multiple price-based chart types, like candlestick, bar, line, etc., giving traders flexibility in visualizing price data.
By now, you might have got an idea about what you should expect to get from these products. If not, read on to know the benefits too.
Spider Software Advantages
There are nine advantages of Spider Software that you must know about before you raise concerns over its effectiveness.
- Spider Software is a long-established and trusted trading technology provider with a large base of satisfied users.
- It is a licensed and recognized data vendor for Indian exchanges, ensuring accurate and reliable market data.
- The platform offers both real-time tick-by-tick data and end-of-day solutions suitable for all types of traders.
- A wide product suite, including IRIS, IRIS+, ACE, and CTCL, caters to diverse trading requirements.
- Each platform provides powerful technical analysis tools, including 150+ indicators, auto trendlines, and multiple chart types.
- Traders can back-test strategies and refine their trading systems using built-in testing capabilities.
- Advanced scanners and reports, such as derivatives summaries, delivery analysis, and futures premium insights, support better decision-making.
- The software uses an internet-based client-server architecture for stable performance and fast data delivery.
- Users benefit from regular training sessions, workshops, and educational content that improve market understanding.
Along with advantages, the platform also comes with a few disadvantages related to its products.
Spider Software Disadvantages
There are four disadvantages of Spider Software that include everything from having a high price to a steep learning curve.
- The product suite is explicitly built for Indian markets, so traders who need multi-country or non-Indian exchange coverage may find it limiting.
- Algo-trading and advanced features can add cost and complexity, since the company’s own content notes that algorithmic trading may be more expensive and less flexible.
- The rich feature set, 150+ indicators, back-testing, and scanners imply a learning curve for which users will likely need time, training or workshops to use the platform effectively.
- The site emphasises a client–server, internet-based model and downloadable products, but does not clearly present detailed system requirements or supported OS/platforms up front.
Though the challenges are there, they could be taken care of easily if we focus on what it has to offer rather than what it can’t.

Spider Software Customer Support Concerns
The customer support is yet another concern for Spider Software users. I have personally observed the support team, and I can say you cannot rely on them for assistance.
- Unresponsive: In my case, the customer support executive never responded. I had a query about how a particular feature in the IRIS+ would work, as it was not responding to what I wanted. I tried to connect with them, but I received no response from them on this.
- Inefficient: According to some users, the support team lacks knowledge about the products, and they are of no help most of the time.
One of the users, Deepti, wrote on Quora:
“Support …. also don’t have a clue how to solve the problem, or they won’t reply once you get their subscription. ”
There is hardly anyone, including my trader and investor friends, who talks positive about the customer support team of Spider Software. If you want to check for yourself if they respond and are efficient, you may connect on 022-35018383, 9033057706 (Ahmedabad), 8130992555 (Delhi) for support. It has multiple contact numbers for its respective regional sales team that can help you buy its products.

Is Strike Money the Best Alternative to Spider Software?
Yes, Strike Money can be a very good alternative to Spider Software, and in many respects might be the better choice depending on what you value.
| Feature / Attribute | Strike Money | Spider Software |
| User interface & ease of use | Modern UI, intuitive website/app‑based interface; designed for quick scanning, filtering and analysis. | Desktop client-server applications; powerful but can be heavy and complex, with a learning curve. |
| Market & instrument coverage | Indian markets — equities, derivatives (F&O, futures), with options & futures tools designed for traders. | Indian equity, futures, options, MCX commodity futures — broad coverage including cash, F&O, and MCX. |
| Analysis & tools | Scanners, heatmaps, sentiment indicators, RRG (sector/stock rotation), futures/options analytics, and custom indicators. | Advanced charting, 150+ technical indicators, tick-by-tick real-time data, backtesting, AI-based signals/strategies, derivatives analysis. |

| Maintenance / Upgrades | Included in subscription, no need for manual updates or heavy installations (web‑based). | Desktop installation might involve maintenance, updates, and potentially more overhead. |
Is Spider Software Worth It?
Yes, Spider Software is worth it if you want to have something personal downloaded to be used on your desktop.
Most of the users purchase its products just to check how it is different from the available online technical analysis platforms, like I did. Undoubtedly, the technical features that each of its real-time and EOD products offer are awesome. But they do not offer anything that other platforms, in their web-based and mobile app form, do not offer.
As a trader/investor, if you have ever tried the stock analytics platforms available online, you might be aware that almost all of them have advanced tools for traders to use and identify opportunities to book positions with maximum profits.
Hence, if you already have alternatives out there that offer the same features and, sometimes, even better than what Spider Software products have to provide, and that too at half or even a lesser price, you will hardly prefer the latter.

I would recommend you choose Spider Software only when you are super serious about trading, and that’s an active source of income for you. If you are doing it for earning extra or have a passive income to support your lifestyle, the stock analytics platforms online are good enough. In fact, they also have basic free versions for you to try, which Spider Software does not have.
